Interested in more social workouts? The Y is here to help you reach your health and wellness goals with the fitness regimen that works best for you.

  • Group Exercise classes are free and open to Y members—categories include cardio, dance, strength, yoga and water exercise. No pre-registration is required; you’re welcome to drop in at any time.
  • Personal Training programs are tailored for those interested in receiving individualized attention, having an opportunity to train in small groups or working through self-guided workouts. Some options are free and are included with Y membership, others require an additional fee—all include expert guidance from our Personal Training team.

LIVESTRONG at the YMCA

The LIVESTRONG at the Y program is specifically for adults who have had cancer. The small group-based program covers nutrition, physical activity and behavior modification. The 12-week program is complimentary for any one in the community.

Active Older Adults

Baby boomers to seniors can connect with the Y community through physical fitness, social activities and more. Programs for active older adults accommodate a wide variety of interests and functional abilities.

Member-Led Groups

Do you enjoy a hobby or activity and would like to share it with others?  Anyone can create a Member-Led Group at the Red Wing Family YMCA. All you need to do is recruit a minimum of five friends, select someone to be leader and work with Y staff to find a time when it can be held. The Y will promote it to all our members.
