Spring is FINALLY her and now is the time to start enjoying the outdoors. Are you ready to walk, run and have some fun? Make a commitment to your health and the health of the ones you love and train together for the River City Ramble.
The River City Ramble will be held on Saturday, August 4th, 2018. This 5k run, 2 mile walk, and Kids' Fun Run allows you and your family to participate at whatever level is appropriate. So why not start by making a commitment.
GET READY TO RAMBLE PROGRAM
The Get Ready to Ramble Program is a FREE 9-week training program offered by Mayo Clinic Health System and the Red Wing Family YMCA. The program is designed to get non-runners and walkers ready to participate in the River City Ramble 2-mile walk or 5k run. Staff from Mayo Clinic Health System and the Red Wing Family YMCA will provide support and guidance during the program. The kick-off and weekly training sessions for Get Ready to Ramble begin Monday, June 4th at 11:30 am and 5:15 pm at Central Park Band Shell. There will be a running group which meets at 11:30 am, as well as a walkers and runners group that will meet at 5:15 pm. Guest speakers will be presenting at the start of the 5:15 pm session followed by a group walk/run. What a great time to start training so join us on June 4th. Registration is now open.
THE RIVER CITY RAMBLE 5K, 2-MILE WALK & KIDS' FUN RUN
Bring your family and friends together for the beautiful and historic 31st Annual River City Ramble and support a great cause! All proceeds support the Red Wing YMCA and YMCA Camp Pepin Scholarship Fund, which help strengthen our community by giving families in need access to the Y. We offer a scenic course that loops through Red Wing's historical district. The Kids' Fun Run gets all involved in the joy of running. Stick around after the event to enjoy the River City Day's festivities. YMCA restrooms, showers, lockers, pool and hot tub will be available for all participants. Registration is required for all three races.
