Elevate the camp experience with Camp Pepin's Specialty Camps, where campers focus on developing specific skills or interests. While immersing in the day-to-day camp routine, these specialized camps dedicate morning skill classes and at least one afternoon cabin activity to deepen expertise, fostering confidence and a lasting passion for their chosen specialty.

Ambitious Anglers
Dive into the ultimate fishing experience with Ambitious Anglers at Camp Pepin. Led by seasoned outdoorsman Sam Tittle, participants embrace the art of fishing. This session is more than casting a worm from shore – campers will cover fish identification, laws, pole setup, and various baits and tackle techniques. With fishing opportunities on the Mississippi, Rush, and Chippewa Rivers, this session guarantees an angler's paradise. Prior fishing experience and independence is strongly recommended, so the instructor can provide guidance to all participants.

Survive & Thrive
Embark on a wilderness adventure with Survive and Thrive at Camp Pepin, led by Derek Barkeim from SeekersWild Survival School. Reminiscent of media like Alone and Hatchet, campers delve into outdoor survival skills, gaining self-confidence and self-reliance. Through activities and scenarios focused on fire-building, water sourcing, shelter construction, and foraging, campers strengthen their connection to nature while developing essential survival skills, making this program an unforgettable journey of resilience and resourcefulness.

New Heights
Bring your camp experience to the next level with New Heights, where campers become experts in the challenge and adventure courses at Camp Pepin. Through hands-on practice, they learn to set up, run, and maintain climbing walls, high ropes, and zipline courses, fostering crucial teamwork and communication skills. This week not only provides exhilarating challenges but also offers unparalleled opportunities for personal growth and development. The week culminates in an offsite climbing excursion, as campers apply their newfound knowledge in an exciting and challenging climbing setting.

Prevailing Winds
Sail into adventure with Camp Pepin's Sailing Camp, where campers, guided by seasoned instructor Charles Grassl, delve into sailing theory, learn to captain sunfish boats, and eventually sail independently. Mornings include a scenic pontoon trip across the lake for hands-on sailing practice until lunch, ensuring a rich and immersive experience. As a delightful finale, campers assist Charles in crewing his personal sailboat on the last day. Amidst sailing adventures, campers seamlessly blend into the traditional resident camp schedule, ensuring they savor both the thrill of sailing and the cherished traditions of Camp Pepin.
