Counselors in Training (CIT)

Entering Grades 11 and 12

Progress in your camp experience with our Counselors-in-Training (CIT) program, a comprehensive two-week session designed to instill confidence in leadership, mentorship, and teaching skills. In the first week, CIT campers delve into all facets of a counselor's role, mirroring Camp's staff training. Engaging activities cover topics such as basic child development, behavior management, counseling techniques, communication and leadership, environmental stewardship, and community service. The second week acts as an internship, placing CITs with cabin groups to shadow counselors and gain hands-on experience, providing a firsthand understanding of the responsibilities and rewards of being a summer camp counselor. Upon completion, CIT campers leave ready to contribute both at Camp and in their communities.
